I have a dollhouse similar to that - only mine is from the 50's. Dont know what happened to the furniture - dont even remember the furniture! The headless babydoll made me laugh - my daughter told me last week that my grand daughter had pulled the FEET off one of her babydolls! That is something new - usually it is the head that gets messed up, not the feet!

Have a fun time with the grandson this weekend! Also, Gettysburg is a very solemn place that most definitely has a different feel than the battlefields here in Virginia. Keep me updated and let me know how it goes.

I just found out that "Haunted Plantations of Virginia" is available for pre-order at Amazon. The scheduled release date says July 28th, but they usually arrive a few weeks earlier than that. Beware - the cover is UGLY (yes, I fought it tooth and nail, but alas, I don't get the last word...)

Oh the weekend sounds awesome, unfortunatly it is my grandson's birthday and I am busy with family. I hope you take lots of photos and get some get stuff in the investigation and of the reenactment. Good luck! I'm in the process of editing a fictional horror novel, and I appreciate all the work that goes into writing. Speaking of shadowpeople, it was an encounter my son had with a friend of his (both saw it and experienced it at the same time) had with a shadowperson, it changed his extremely skeptical mind for life. A highly logical and practical person, he tried everything and never found an explanation for their encounter with this very solid-looking short entity. Can I vote for both..Each is unique in its own way. I like a DVD if you can show enough of the "ghosty" stuff to keep someones interest for the length of the film. If not it just becomes a boring history lesson. A book on the other hand gives not only details, but usually has some sort of facts that can be refered back to by just the flip of a page. Also a book can be carried along when one is investigating for themselves. This can be helpful if your going to visit more than one place in a day or within couple of days. I know I like to either have a book or write down the history of the area that I am visiting so I remember what happened there.
The DVD adds excitment, the book adds facts..Does this make sense..Anyway that is just an opinion..I am sure we will love what ever you decide to do..It sounds like fun
